Anne Bags are individually designed, handmade handbags created by Sally Layer.
The vibrancy of the bags come from the plastic fabric. This is created by hand by folding and layering plastic long life carrier bags, giving a hint of a shop or brand, to create beautiful and exciting patterns, colours and textures. Through the combination of contrasting and complimentary colours and patterns a new design emerges. As a result each Anne Bag is completely unique.
Each bag has a multi-layered lining giving softness and strength.
You can choose from a selection of bags, all made from this original technique: Satchels, Small and Large Anne Bags, Shopping Bags and Bucket Bags. All are available to browse in the shop.

Individually designed bags that originate from a scarf. The fabric is embellished by hand with embroidery techniques which enhance and create patterns to give texture and interest. Soft, strong, stylish accessories. Available as Large and Small Annebags only.

A vibrant blue satchel with adjustable strap, denim side panels and a blue and white striped, cotton lining. Two poppers keep this bag secure and the button and flaps are for detail.

A dark green design with dashes of grey and white, dark green cotton side panels, multi coloured stripe cotton lining and binding. The handles are plastic and designed to be worn on the shoulder. Inside pockets and a recycled, locally sourced zip complete this unique hamdbag.
Shopping Bag (AB21)
A large bag suitable for shopping, school, holidays etc. A floral and red stripe outer, dark red, cotton handles and bindings, magnetic clasp and a red and white stripe cotton lining.
